The First Book of Meqabyan is a canonical text only in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Despite its name, it has no direct relation to the books of Maccabees found in the Catholic and Orthodox Bibles, presenting distinct narratives and characters, such as King Tseerutsaydan and the Meqabyan martyrs. The Ethiopian tradition considers it a historical and wisdom text, often cited for its moral laws.

Chapter 18
Think that thou will go in death toward JAH in Whose Hand all are - and thou will stand before Him that Him might canvict thee before Him on all the sin thou Worked.
As them who are arrogant and evil - and powerful ones childran who aren't strengthenin more than them - were likewise formerly - because them sight up them stature and them Power and them firm authority - them didn't make JAH before them - and them didn't know that Him were them Creator Who Created them bringin from not livin toward livin.
and when them fathers bein like unto "Angels" praised on Mount Hola with Angels - on the time them accord misled them - them alit toward this world where Definite Judgemant shall be done forever.
As JAH in the Antiquity have Created human flesh to them - that it might mislead them because them reasonin arrogance and might test them as it were them kept Him LAW and Him Command - them married wives from Qayel childran.
But them didn't keep Him LAW ~ Him lowered them toward Gehannem fire with them father Deeyablos; to JAH have vexed on the offspring of Siet who wronged like unto persons - and persons era diminished because them sin.
and them took 'Adam childran toward sin with them ~ Him lowered them toward See'ol where them shall raceive a verdict.
As persons era have been divided because Siet childran erred by Qayel childran - when a person eras were nine hundred in the Antiquity - them returned toward livin a hundred twenty eras.
and as them are flesh and blood - JAH said - I Spirit of Support won't live firmed up on them.
and because this thing I era were divided - to because I sin and I iniquity - I era have been divided from I fathers who preceded - and when them are in them infancy again - them are dyin.
But I fathers era had abounded - because them kept Him LAW and because them didn't sadden JAH.
But I fathers era had abounded - because them vexed on them daughter childran that them might teach them - and because them vexed on them male childran lest them demolish JAH LAW.
Because them didn't demolish JAH LAW with them daughter childran and them male childran - because this thing them era had abounded to true.
