The First Book of Meqabyan is a canonical text only in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Despite its name, it has no direct relation to the books of Maccabees found in the Catholic and Orthodox Bibles, presenting distinct narratives and characters, such as King Tseerutsaydan and the Meqabyan martyrs. The Ethiopian tradition considers it a historical and wisdom text, often cited for its moral laws.

Chapter 30
I-man have hated Sa'ol kin - to him have saddened I because him violated I Word.
and I-man neglected him - to him didn't keep I LAW - and I-man won't crown from him kin again.
and persons who didn't keep I LAW and I Word and I Order like unto him - I-man shall destroy I Kingdom and I gift from them childran up til the Eternity.
and as them didn't make I famous on the time I-man made them famous - Iman shall destroy them - yet I-man won't again return to lift them up ~ though I-man honour them - as them didn't honour I - I-man won't make them famous.
to them didn't do a goodly thing to I on the time I-man did a goodly thing to them - and to them didn't forgive I on the time I-man forgave them.
and as them didn't make I a Ruler on the time I-man made them rulers on all - as them didn't honour I on the time I-man honoured them more than all - I-man won't make them famous again nor honour them - and to them didn't keep I LAW.
and I-man withheld the gift I-man gave them - and I-man won't return the money I-man withheld from them like unto the measure I-man vexed and swore ~ JAH Who rule all said thus ~ Him said - I-man shall honour them who honoured I - and love them who loved I.
I-man shall separate them who didn't honour I nor keep I LAW from the gift I-man gave them.
JAH Who rule all said; I-man love them who loved I - and make famous him who made I famous - Him said..
As I-man JAH am Who rule all - there are none who escape I Authority in Earth nor Heaven - to I-man am JAH Who kill and Who save and Who sadden and Who forgive.
As famousness and honour are I money - I-man honour him whom Iman loved - to I-man am Who judge and Who revenge and destroy - and I-man make wretched him whom I-man hated.
to I-man am Who forgive them who love I and call I Name everytime - to I-man am Who feed food to the wealthy and to the poor.
and I-man feed birds and animals - fishes in sea and beasts and flowers - yet I-man aren't Who feed only man.
I-man feed crocodiles and whales - gophers and hippos - and badgers...
and all that live within Water - all that fly on wind - yet I-man aren't Who feed only man ~ all this are I money.
I-man am Who feed all that seek I by all that are due and I-loved.
